Strawberry Smoothie Bowl

Start your day on a bright note with this deliciously creamy, satisfying, high protein bowl!

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk (or plant-based milk of choice)
  • 4 scoops plant-based strawberry or vanilla protein powder (about ⅔ cup total, depending on brand), or a combo of both
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen banana slices
  • <strong>Optional Toppings</strong>
  • 4 tbsp gluten-free granola
  • ½ cup mixed frozen berries
  • 2 tbsp almond butter (omit or use less if you want a lower fat option)
  • ½ tsp chia seeds
  • ½ tsp hemp hearts

Instructions

  1. In a high speed blender pour in the almond milk, protein powder, strawberries and bananas. Blend on high speed, using a tamper to push the ingredients down as needed, until the mixture is smooth. This is going to be super thick and have a texture like ice cream. If you like a thinner smoothie bowl, add more almond milk 2 tbsp at a time until you reach a desired consistency.
  2. Divide the smoothie mixture evenly between two bowls. Divide the gluten-free granola, mixed frozen berries, almond butter, chia and hemp seeds between the two bowls, or top with items of your choice.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!
